Whistler Rail & Wings
The Whistler Rail and Wings is available each day except Tuesday and
Wednesday from May 14 to September 29, 2010.
You can fly from downtown to Whistler in the
morning and train back in the afternoon or take the train in the morning and fly back
in the early evening. Both options give you 5 hours in Whistler.
The train leaves the North Vancouver station at 8:15 AM and arrives in Whistler at 11:30 AM. In the afternoon, the train leaves Whistler at 2:30 AM and returns to North Vancouver at 5:30 PM. Buses are waiting to take you back to your downtown Vancouver hotel.
The bus picks up and drops off at the following hotels: Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Pacific Rim, Holiday in on Howe Street, Hampton Inn and Suites downtown and Cascadia Hotel.
If you are staying at a different hotels we will give you directions for getting from your hotel to the pick up point.
The float plane leaves Vancouver at 9:00 AM and it leaves Whistler at 5:30 PM. The flight takes 35 minutes and the float planes fly every day.
You can go to Whistler one one day and return on another for the same price.
The price for the Classic Service is $298 per person + 5% tax. The
price for the Dome Service is $388 per person + 5% tax.
If you choose
dome service, you may want to fly in the morning and train in the
afternoon because dome service offers High Tea on the train back
to Vancouver. Classic Service offers a delicious box lunch.
You can also go in one direction on one day and return on another day. The price is the same.
The Whistler tours begin with a pick up by bus from several downtown Vancouver locations. You are dropped at the North Vancouver train station in time to board the train at 8:00 AM.
The 40 minute flight between Whistler and Vancouver offers views of Garibaldi Park, Black Tusk and numerous mountain lakes and glaciers.
