Vancouver Festivals 2010

Vancouver has a lot to celebrate and it often celebrates with a festival. For 2010, here is a list of the festivals you can enjoy. From the International Jazz Festival and the International Film Festival to the Fringe Festival and the International Children's Festival you can experience a diversity of festivals.

January

Vancouver Mountain Film Festival - January 22-29, 2010
The International Mountain Film Festival features climbing and adventure films and events. The program is held at Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver and at Pacific Cinématheque in downtown Vancouver. On three nights, January 24, 25, 26, events will be held at the McMillan Space Centre.

The Wizard of Oz Pantomime - January 21-30, 2010
Follow the Yellow Brick Road to North Vancouver as SMP Presents The Wizard of Oz Pantomime!
January 21,22,23,28,29,30 at 7.30pm, and Matinees January 23 and 30 at 2.00pm.

Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 - February 12 - 28, 2010 In February, Vancouver welcomes the World to the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games. Venues will be in Vancouver, Vancouver's North Shore, Burnaby and Whistler. It's an amazing event that the people of Vancouver have been working toward for several years. We're looking forward to hosting the best Winter Olympics ever.

Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival: April 19-25, 2010
The 2009 Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival will serve 1,600+ wines from over 183 wineries representing 15 countries at 61 events.

EAT! Vancouver, Food + Cooking Festival May 28-30, 2010
Eighth Annual EAT! Vancouver will launch at its new home: the new Vancouver Convention Centre - West, the acclaimed, state of the art addition to the existing Vancouver Convention Centre at Canada Place in the heart of Vancouver.
Celebrity chefs, popular local restaurants, wineries, food and beverage manufacturers, cookbook authors, retailers, artisans, and many others from the culinary world will come together for a three day public extravaganza at the new Vancouver Convention Centre.

explorASIAN Festival: May 1 - May 31, 2010
Vancouver's "explorASIAN Festival" is Canada's second oldest Asian Heritage Month festival, established in 1997 by the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society.
The festival runs for the whole month of May annually, making it the destination festival for worldwide Spring/Summer visitors of metro Vancouver. Celebrate your heritage with explorASIAN!

DOXA Documentary Film Festival: May 7-16, 2010 in Vancouver

DOXA 2010 brings Vancouver premieres of eye-opening and unexpected films from Canada and around the world. Featuring 75 films in an expanded 10-day festival running May 7-16, DOXA offers our most diverse and innovative programming to our widest audience yet.

Vancouver International Children's Festival: May 17-24, 2010
