Vancouver Tennis Courts

Racquet sports, especially tennis, squash and badminton are very popular in Vancouver. Many devoted squash players give it up in the summer, because they can't bear to be inside, and turn to tennis until the weather drives them back to the squash courts in the fall.

Along with 183 outdoor tennis courts, there are 10 public indoor courts, four in Vancouver and six on the North Shore, so you can enjoy tennis all year long.

Vancouver's public tennis courts are located in 43 city parks. We've listed the most prominent below.

Stanley Park
located at the north end of West Georgia has 21 courts.

Queen Elizabeth Park
located at 29th and 37th Avenue, Cambie and Ontario Street has 17 courts.

Kitsilano Beach Park
Just across the Burrard Street Bridge on Cornwall Street, has 10 courts.

The UBC Tennis Centre
located at 6184 Thunderbird Blvd, has 10 courts available from the middle of April to the middle of October. Courts can be reserved in the summer by calling 604-822-2505

For information about indoor tennis courts, see our Racquet Sports under Indoor Adventures.
