One of the best ways of getting between Vancouver and Whistler is by floatplane (seaplane). Planes depart daily from the downtown Vancouver float plane terminal on West Waterfront Road between May 18 and September 26, 2012.
Float plane service between Vancouver and Whistler is not available in winter because Green Lake, the location of the seaplane dock in Whistler, is frozen so planes can’t take off or land.

Price is $318 per person + 12% tax ($428 + 12% tax for dome service). You can also fly to Whistler in the morning and return on the late afternoon train.
Baggage limit of 25 lbs. per person, excess baggage charged at a rate of $1.00 per pound space permitting. (If space does not permit, baggage will be transferred on next available flight)
