Vancouver Disability Access

Vancouver is an enlightened city with excellent information and facilities for people with disabilities. Most buildings, public transportation and visitor attractions are accessible. Buses are equipped with ramps for wheelchairs and the Sky Train and SeaBus are also accessible.

If you're driving a car, the city has increased the number of parking places for people who need disability access. If you have a disabled parking permit, it is valid in Vancouver.

If you're flying to Vancouver, accessible taxis are available from Vancouver Taxi to take you from the airport to your destination. Call 604-871-1111. Airporter buses can accommodate wheelchairs if users are not wheelchair bound and the wheelchair can be folded. Call 604-946-8866 from Vancouver or 1-800-668-3141 toll free.

All public buses from the airport are wheelchair accessible. Take the bus from the airport to Airport Station and transfer to the #98 bus for downtown.
